With over 4,90,914 children impacted by March 2024, CHF has been a beacon of hope for countless underprivileged children across India. We champion the cause of free, inclusive, and high-quality education that nurtures informed, compassionate, and capable global citizens.
Despite India’s significant strides in education, including an enrollment ratio exceeding 96% in primary education over the last eight years, challenges persist. Reports such as the National Achievement Survey and findings from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation indicate alarmingly low learning outcomes, particularly in reading comprehension and arithmetic skills among third-grade students. These gaps in foundational skills highlight the urgent need for interventions that go beyond enrollment figures and focus on holistic, outcome-driven learning.
Our preschool programs ensure that children grow up healthy and ready for formal education. In Jawhar district, Maharashtra, 8,336 children have directly benefitted through our initiatives, which include nutrition and health support for holistic development.
Through skill development programs in nursing, beautician courses, and tailoring, CHF empowers young women and girls in rural areas. To date, 75 individuals have successfully completed these courses, gaining economic independence and contributing to their families' well-being.
We promote essential life skills to help children and young adults navigate challenges effectively. These programs encourage informed decision-making, creative problem-solving, and effective communication while addressing gender bias and building confidence.

CHF ensures no child gives up education due to financial challenges. Since 2010, we have sponsored the education of 2,792 children from disadvantaged families and shelter homes, enabling them to continue their studies.
